　　The final of the 3^rd China College Students’ Internet+ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Xidian University from Sep.15^th to 18^th. Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT)’s team projects won a gold and a bronze, fulfilling the zero breakthrough in gold medal and making it the best performance ever. The vice president of BIT, Wang Xiaofeng, came to the final to see the school project participants and attended the College Student's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Educational Achievement Exhibition.

　　The competition includes Creative Design Group, Start-up Group, Grown-up Group and Employment- oriented Startup Group. BIT’s Poputar intelligent guitar project finished first in the Grown-up Group 2 , making it top 30 in China, and finally finished 9^th in the Final Four and won the gold medal. The teacher of the project, Liang Hao from School of Management and Economics, won the “Outstanding I&E Teacher” prize. The “ttg co-hosting” project won a bronze. After the closing ceremony, students and teachers of the Poputar intelligent guitar project attended the College Student's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Educational Achievement Exhibition, and met Vice Premier Liu Yandong and took group photos with him.

　　Since the competition was officially launched in March, it has been valued highly by BIT. With the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, Office of the CYL Committee, Graduate School and the Office of Alumni working together to promote the event, and the mobilization of each schools, 651 students and alumnus with156 projects from 18 schools took part in the tryouts on campus. The tryout involves preliminary and final thesis defense and was judged by the well-known investors and senior judges of the Internet+ competition. 25 projects went to the Beijing Division, and 13 of them successfully entered the final of Beijing Division, with the result of 3 first prizes and 10 second prizes. During the competition, Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs and Office of the CYL Committee have equipped the major projects’ team with well-know investors and expert judges, who elaborately tutored the projects one-on-one.

　　BIT always attaches importance to students’ engineering practice and innovation ability. Relying on the scientific research and subjects advantages, BIT has made substantial progress in the education of innovation by science competitions and extracurricular scientific innovation, and took high moral values establishment and people cultivation as the fundamental task, which are the important steps in thoroughly applying The Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Deepening the Reform of Higher Education. In the year 2017, BIT was listed in the national second group of innovation-demonstrative high schools and the 50 rich-experienced innovation and entrepreneurship schools.

　　In future, BIT will continue to pursue Innovation driven development strategy proactively, carry out the teaching reform actively, promote the college student second classroom system construction which emphasizes on core, system and combination, and combine innovation education into the whole process of student’s cultivation, in order to enhance students’  entrepreneurship and innovative ability and promote high-standard undergraduates' employment.
