Utah State University Delegation Visits BIT

¡¡¡¡On the afternoon of June 13th, 2017, provost Laurens H. Smith of Utah State University visited Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) with a panel of six experts. Vice president Wang Xiaofeng of BIT met the delegation at meeting room 133 of No.2 building.

¡¡¡¡Wang Xiaofeng warmly welcomed the delegation for visiting BIT. He said that the project for bachelor's degree in international economic jointly hosted by two universities has been carried out for 14 years. More than 900 students of the program have graduated and the program has gained a high social recognition. Besides, he hoped BIT and Utah State University could continue to discuss possibilities in academic exchange and scientific research cooperation on the basis of ensuring teaching quality of the program.

¡¡¡¡Provost Laurens H. Smith expressed sincere thanks for warm reception of BIT. He said that BIT is a university with beautiful campus and solid scientific research strength. What¡¯s more, the program hosted by two universities has achieved great success and they were proud of all achievements that graduates of the program obtained. He hoped Utah State University Delegation would have further cooperation with BIT.

¡¡¡¡Academic director of International Projects from the Huntsman School of Business Dwight Israelsen, vice director Jason Smith, senior consultant of Global Affairs Office Maribeth Evensen-Hengge, leader of Global Learning Project Liz Allred and leader of Intensive English program Jim Rogers visited BIT along with provost Laurens H. Smith.People from BIT attending the meeting including president of School of International Education Mei Wenbo, vice president Jiang Zhixiang , vice-officer of BIT Office of International Exchange and Cooperation Xing Qingqing and program executive Wu Di etc.
