　　On Apr.26th, 2018, Santiago García Granda, president of Universidad de Oviedo, Francisco José Borge López, vice president of Universidad de Oviedo, and other 2 representatives visited Beijing Institute of Technology. They meet Wang Xiaofeng, vice president of BIT in the 133 meeting room of No.2 Office Building.

　　Wang Xiaofeng welcomed the first visit of García to BIT. He introduced the basic situation of BIT and the developments in internationalized education. After a review of the interaction and cooperation with top Spanish college, Wang advised the further interaction and cooperation in engineering, especially in the fusion of medicine and engineering and hoped that both BIT and Universidad de Oviedo could exploit the advantages to the full on the basis of personnel training.

　　President García expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of BIT. He showed the advantaged departments and the internationalized teaching system of Universidad de Oviedo. He also said that Universidad de Oviedo bolted the top research in Spanish college such as energy-environment and healthy medicine, and worked in close cooperation with enterprises and hospitals. He looked forward to the further cooperation with BIT through the interaction between teachers and researchers.

　　The two sides held in-depth discussions on education projects such as the exchange of student and the joint education. After the meeting, President García and his team visit the Office of International Students of BIT.

　　Also attending the meeting were María José álvarez Faedo, head of Chinese Affairs of International Office of Universidad de Oviedo, Geng Shengnan, staff of International Office in China of Universidad de Oviedo, Wang Ying, head of Office of International Students of BIT, Gao Shan, deputy commissioner of International Affairs of BIT, Huang YIxuan, teacher of school of foreign languages of BIT, Peng Mei, project specialist of Office of International Students of BIT and Zong Xin, exchange program lead of Office of International Students of BIT.
