¡¡¡¡On March 26th, Professor §¡. §¶. §¹§Ñ§Ò§Ñ§Ü from Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy in Russia visited School of Mechanical Engineering of Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and started academic exchanges. During his visit, §¡. §¶. §¹§Ñ§Ò§Ñ§Ü delivered an academic speech named ¡°Hydrogen Energy: The Cleaning Mechanism to Help with the Harmony of Human and Nature¡±. He systematically stated the prospect of hydrogen energy, so far the key bottleneck restricting the application of hydrogen energy and his future prospect on the development of hydrogen energy. Professor §¡. §¶. §¹§Ñ§Ò§Ñ§Ü also introduced the assumption of micropipette hydrogen-storage technology, and how to achieve the technology and what technical criteria the technology could achieve in detail.
¡¡¡¡Meanwhile, Professor §¡. §¶. §¹§Ñ§Ò§Ñ§Ü had a heated discussion on hydrogen-storage technology with representatives present at the meeting.

¡¡¡¡Sun Bogang, the professor from Energy and Power Engineering Department in School of Mechanical Engineering, hosted the academic exchange meeting. To share the study experience and achievement Professor §¡. §¶. §¹§Ñ§Ò§Ñ§Ü has made on hydrogen-storage area, we also invited some well-known experts in this area and fraternities in China, including Professor Jiang Lijun, the headmaster of China Association for Hydrogen Energy, Professor Wang Shumao from Institute For Non-Ferrous Metal Research, Zhang Lifang, the general manager of Beijing Jiuantong Hydrogen Energy Technology Corporation, Lihai, the general manager of Beijing Guohong Hydrogen Energy Technology Corporation Professor Wang Guowen, the sixth institute of research of CASC. What¡¯s more, we also invited some institutes such as National Hydrogen Energy Committee, CICEIA, 70th Institute of CNGC, HEU and so on.
¡¡¡¡Since the Thirteen-five Planning was carried out, hydrogen energy has gradually become the national strategy. Many strategies like Made in China 2025, New Energy Vehicles Long-term Development Plan paid great attention on hydrogen energy and fuel cell. Local governments also publish hydrogen energy road maps to develop and promote hydrogen energy further. The move is one of the measure China takes in order to carry out the adjustment of energy and control the air pollution. Nowadays, the technology bottleneck restricting apply of hydrogen energy is how to store hydrogen efficiently and safely. And that straightly restricts the market competitiveness and development potential of the hydrogen fuel technology.

¡¡¡¡China has been conducting a large number of the key technology of hydrogen storage and has received some outcomes. Among the outcomes, there are mainly four technical ways to solve the hydrogen storage problem. Storing hydrogen in gaseous in high pressure, storing hydrogen in liquid in low pressure, storing hydrogen with metal absorption and storing hydrogen with carbon radical. But all the technical ways only stay the weight density of hydrogen in the range of 4-6%wt. Professor §¡. §¶. §¹§Ñ§Ò§Ñ§Ü developed a breakthrough ultra-high pressure hydrogen storage based on the principle of micropipette. With the technology, the weight density of hydrogen can reach 10%-14.75%. Professor §¡. §¶. §¹§Ñ§Ò§Ñ§Ü also has 10 core patent technologies on high energy density hydrogen storage.
¡¡¡¡Through the technical exchange, our fraternities in China got a general knowledge of the basic principle of new hydrogen storage technology developed by Professor §¡. §¶. §¹§Ñ§Ò§Ñ§Ü. They also broadened their views of hydrogen storage, which can provide with good references for hydrogen storage technology in China. At the same time, some Institutes like CASC took special exchange with Professor §¡. §¶. §¹§Ñ§Ò§Ñ§Ü. What¡¯s more, Professor §¡. §¶. §¹§Ñ§Ò§Ñ§Ü also gave a special consulting to China Nuclear Industry Corporation.
