¡¡¡¡On the morning of July 3, 2018, Li Bailian, vice president of North Carolina State University (NCSU) and David Nixon, head of the Office of International Affairs of NCSU, visited BIT with their team. Zhao Changlu, head of the party committee of BIT, and Wang Xiaofeng, vice president met the guests. Also concerned people of Center of International Communication and Cooperation and Office of Teaching Affairs of BIT attended the meeting.
¡¡¡¡NCSU and BIT have built a comprehensive and cooperative partnership and the research collaboration in the field of mechanical engineering which started from 2010. NCSU and BIT also hold the ¡°3+X¡± project and the Summer Research Practice Project, about 50 students having been to NCSU for exchange and study. According to NCSU¡¯s statistics, the number of academic paper published jointly by NCSU and BIT lies in top among Chinese colleges. The host and guest reviewed the partnership and the experience of the exchange of students and teachers, and discussed 5 types of the project arrangement, such as the exchange of student, the training of young teachers and managers, the curriculum of innovation and entrepreneurship, the cooperation of research of huge data, and the PhD co-supervision, to deepen the partnership.
