1. Supermarkets There are three supermarkets in Liangxiang campus. They are at the basement floor in student service center, the basement floor in Building Danfeng A and the first floor in the south canteen. They mainly sell daily necessities, sports goods, school supplies and etc. School supplies are cheap, while fruit is a little expensive. We don’t recommend you buy fruit in quantity there. Among the three supermarkets, the one in student service center is the largest and has the most complete categories. It is also the one that students go to the most frequently. Besides basic goods, there are specialties such as barbecued meat with rice and hot-hot-hot. It’s a good choice during canteen peak times. There is a bakery in this supermarket. You can buy birthday cake there for your friends’ birthday.
 

2. The second floor in student service center Campus card service center, mail room, China Unicom business hall, China Merchants Bank ATM machine, post office, Lenovo service center and babershop are located here. Campus card is bound to your Merchants Bank card. The money in your campus card is from that bank card. If the money in your bank card is insufficient, you can deposit money at the ATM machine. Every class has its own mailbox. If your friends want to send you post cards, just tell them to write school address and add your class number. The key to the mailbox will be given to your class monitor.

3. The third floor in student service center Offices of some students’ clubs, China Mobile business hall, photocopy room, gift shop and charity shop are located here. Photocopy room is one of the most visited places. Besides printing and copying, you can also have your identification photo taken here. It’s cheap and convenient. Goods in gift shop are a little expensive but exquisite. Goods in charity shop are cheaper. You can choose according to your own needs.
 

4. The fourth floor in student service center Office of the students’ union, office of sunshine volunteers team are located here. Sunshine volunteers team is a voluntary organization of students’ union. When students find lost things, they will send them to the office. If you lost something, go there and have a try. 
 

5. School Hospital Medicines in school hospital are much cheaper than those in supermarkets. Unless you have special needs, we recommend you buy medicines in school hospital. Doctors will prescribe the right medicine according to your symptom. Registered undergraduate students should take their medical records note. Campus card paying is recommended.

6. Laundry There is a laundry to the north of student service center. Clothes which you can’t wash by yourself like down jackets can be dry cleaned there. You can have your membership card there. The more money you deposit in the card, the more heavy discount you will get. 
 

7. Campus card service Campus card can be used when taking a bath, paying the net charge, having meals in canteen, fetching water, shopping in supermarkets and etc. It is needed when getting your mail as well. You can top up your campus card both by your bound bank card and cash. Bank card top-up machines are at the second floor of student service center, the first floor of Comprehensive Teaching Building, the first floor of Science Teaching Building, the first floor of the north canteen the the first floor of the south canteen. The cash top-up site is in the campus card service center. Place of net charge payment is at the second floor of student service center. There are bank card top-up machines and net charge payment machines in a few dormitory buildings. You’d better avoid top-up rush hours, or you will be in a quite long queue. If your campus card is lost, go to campus card service center, report your loss and apply for another one. You can also change your password there. It would be a lot of trouble if you lost your campus card, so keep it safe.
 

8. Shower Accommodation condition in Liangxiang campus is much better compared to that in Zhongguancun campus. This can be told obviously when it comes to condition of shower. In Liangxiang campus,you needn’t be troubled by the public bathhouse, there are two shower rooms on every floor of every dormitory building. There are six or more cabinets in every shower room. It’s very convenient.

If you find the bath installations or drinking fountain break down, report the problem to dorm supervisor in time. They will solve the problem as soon as possible. You can also contact center for students’ rights. They will help you.

 

  There are north canteen, south canteen and Muslim canteen in our campus. (There are three floors in both north canteen and south canteen.)
 

  The first and second floor in north and south canteen are school-run dining halls. The price is moderate. The dish amount is large. It’s quite economical and practical. The third floor of north canteen is a gathering place of local delicacies. There are barrel rice, rice noodles, spicy pot and countless delicacies. It’s a nice choice for dining. The third floor of north canteen is private business, so the price is a little higher than the first and second floor. It will be five yuan more expensive on average each meal. The third floor of south canteen provides ordering service. It’s just like a small restaurant. It’s a good place for class gathering and celebrating birthday.

  Midnight snacks are provided before 22: 30 pm at the first floor of north canteen, south canteen and Muslim canteen. 

PS: Middle canteen consists of vendors’ stalls on both sides of the street between south campus and north campus. It has a wide variety of food. Red bean cake, hot-pot noodles, Taiwan pancake are students’ favorite. It is a good choice during canteen rush hours.

 

    Study is the most important.( good places for self-learning)

1. The Science Building
 

    Lying in the south campus and near the school gate, the science building is also called the first building. Students can study in the classrooms when there are no classes. Classrooms from the first floor to the third floor are open from 6:30 a.m to 11:00 p.m, but classrooms in the fourth and fifth floor will be closed on 9:30 p.m everyday.
 

    There are 5 floors in the science building. 2 large classrooms, 1 ring classroom and 6 small classrooms are in the first floor; For the second and third floor, there are 3 large classrooms, 1 ring classroom and 6 small classrooms in every floor; there are 3 large classrooms and 6 small classrooms in the fourth floor; the fifth floor has 6 small classrooms. No net openings are found in every classroom in the science building, but there are 4-6 power sockets in specific places of every classroom. There are three toilets and several staircases in every floor, which makes it convenient for the students. Central air-conditionings are fixed in large classrooms and ring classrooms in every floor.
 

   At the entrance of the first floor of the science building, there are 2 vending machines selling drinks. The prices of the drinks are almost 0.5RMB higher than that of the drinks in the supermarket, but they are still substantial. The first floor also has a lost and found. If you lose something in the classrooms when you study, the cleaners or others who find them will return them there, so you can find them there. The lost and found is also at the entrance of the science building. There are pianos in the ring classrooms in the first and second floors which can be used for free, but please pay attention to the time, because usually there are students studying in the classrooms. It is not good to disturb others when you practice the piano. Usually the best time for practicing piano are 9:30 p.m when the classes are over and the mornings of weekends. 
 

   There is a small courtyard in the science building which is a good place for those students who enjoy reading in the morning, and students who enjoy reading can experience it. A big clock is hung in the science building and the clock sounds the correct time when it is on the hour. Above all we must mention that wifi are found in every classroom in the science building, the comprehensive building and the library.

 

2.The Comprehensive Building
 

  Lying in the north campus, the comprehensive building is also called the second building. It is divided into two parts: A part and B part. Classrooms from the first floor to the third floor are open from 6:30 a.m to 11:00 p.m, but classrooms in the fourth and fifth floor will be closed on 9:30 p.m everyday.
 

  ①A part has 5 floors. The first floor has voice classrooms in which students can practice their oral English. From the second floor to the fifth floor, there are 4 big classrooms and 2 large lecture theaters. No net openings are found in A part, but there are 4-6 power sockets in specific places of every classroom. There is one toilet and several staircases in every floor. All classrooms in A part are equipped with central air-conditionings. In the first floor, there is a vending machine selling drinks. The vending machine can tell coins and paper money which is more than 1 RMB and less than 20RMB. At the entrance, there is also a lost and found which can cover the whole comprehensive building.
 

  ②B part also has five floors. There are 4 large classrooms in the first floor. In the second and third floor, there are 2 large classrooms and 4 Internet classrooms which are equipped with net openings. The fourth and fifth floors were computer classrooms before. When the computer classrooms were moved into the fourth floor of the library, they were deserted. Classrooms in B parts are not equipped with air-conditionings, but every classrooms has electric fans. The large classrooms has 2 net opening and 2-4 power sockets. There is one toilet and several staircases. The first floor has a vending machine selling drinks. The vending machine can tell coins and paper money which is more than 1 RMB. The first floor also has a exquisite reception room, a performing hall and a lecture hall. It’s a good place for listening to the lectures and enjoying the performance.
 

3. LIT Library
 

  Lying near the school gate of north campus, LIT library is called Xu Teli Library. There is a small porch where students can read in the morning , have a rest and chat with friends outside of the library. The library has 6 floors. The first, second and third floors are reading rooms. The computer rooms are in the fourth floor and the fifth and sixth floor are for the school meetings. Wifi are open in the library. Laptops can connect the school net and then connect the other nets when open the wifi. The school cards are needed when entering the library. If you forget to bring the card, you can show your relevant valid documents to the security guards. There are several toilets in every floor of the library. The library is equipped with central air-conditionings. It is warm in winter and cool in summer, which is good for improving your health. It is suggested that students should dress less in winter and bring a coat in summer.
 

   The first floor is for borrowing books, returning books and looking up books on the Internet. School cards are needed when borrowing books. Usually when you borrow a book, you can keep it for one month. When it is due, you can renew it on the Internet or in the library, but you can renew only once. You have to return the book when it is due, but you borrow it again,so you can keep a book for a long time. If you don’t return the book when it is due, you will not be punished in 5 days, but you have to pay some money if 5 days are over. As to the amount of the money and the details of appointments, they are too complicated and you will know them when you come to school.
 

   Reading rooms are in the second and third floors which are used to store the books of science books. The reading rooms are divided into nature science, social science and other special science.every reading room is equipped with desks, chairs and other study equipments. Some reading rooms have large French windows. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery when you feel bored. Power sockets can be found around some desks, which makes it convenient for students to study with laptops. As to the tips of borrowing books, I want you to find them by yourself because I thin it very interesting. Remember: the number of the book. Every book has its number. The halls in the second and third floor are for reading newspaper and magazines. There are many single sofas where you can sit and read the newspaper and magazines. Please remember not to sleep on the sofas because you will easily catch a cold.
 

  The computer rooms are in the fourth floor. it is better for freshmen not to bring the laptops, so they can come here. There are many computers in the rooms. Most of them are good, but there are still some bad ones, so it depends on your luck. All the classes about computer operation are conducted here, such as the operation of C language programming and the basics of computer. The network speed is fast. Some students play dota in the computer rooms. The computer rooms are open from 8:00a.m to 9 :30p.m, so you can have a long time in the computer rooms.
 

  The computer rooms of Liangxiang campus lies in the fourth floor of the library. I spent a long time finding the entrance of them. The computer rooms don’t connect with the inside of the library. You have to climb the stairs in the right of the gate of library or use the elevator in the south of the library.

  If you want to study in the library, you must get up early. You will not have seats if you get up late, especially the seats near the French windows. In addition, you must take care of your laptops and other valuable things. Probably you will lose your money and cellphones if you put them on the desks when you go to the toilet. It is suggested that you should ask the students around you to help you take care of them when you leave. Don’t forget to thank them when you come back.

 

① Liangxiang Town

Carrefour: at the east of Liangxiang Dajiao bus station. It is a large supermarket in the town and it can satisfy the needs of students’ daily life.

Huaguan shopping mall: you can walk around ten minutes from Carrefour. The shopping mall has a cinema and some brand goods which are suitable for students.

Zhongdaruixiang: at the south of Ximen bus station. The mall have small objects,such as students’s objects

Around the Liangxiang primary school: KFC, Macdonald, Pizza hut, Shangshangqian(hot pot), Malachuanqi(hot-spicy pot), Yunnanguoqiaomixian, Jixianghuntun, barbecue.

Ximen bus station: Xiaofeiyang, Youth canteen, Dayali roast duck, Jinbaiwan roast duck, Yoshinoya, Zajiang noodles.

1.Jintianle KTV

Address: number 17 on the south street of Liangxiang west road.

Route: get off the bus at Ximen bus station and go about 1000 meters toward south. Group-purchase and club card is allowed and it is comparatively cheap.

 

2.Shiergong 

Address: number 10 on the south street of Liangxiang west road.

It is on the opposite of Jintianle and it is exquisite but expensive.

 

3.Xingbaokangnian KTV

Address: number 81 on the north street of Liangxiang west road.

It is on the opposite of Dayali Roast Duck and suitable for the get-together.

 

4.Mengxingdao KTV

Address: Number 2 building of Hongshun garden and at the west station of Liangxiang university city. Students can go there by bike.

 

5.Kaixuanmen KTV

Address: Number 188 on the Kaixuan street of Liangxiang. Per capita consumption is 30RMB

 

6.Chun K

Address: number1 on the south street of Liangxiang Gongchen.(on the opposite of Guotai Shopping Mall)

It is a new KTV, so the machines are new and the price is reasonable at the beginning.
